The Tryon junk yard oppo site Chevrolet garage, under charge of F. P. Bacon, will be continued in use for metal and rubber scrap that is donated. Materials conveniently placed by the roadside in the vicinity of Tryon will be collected by the Town of Tryon trucks. Notify the Town Office. Collections along the main highways will be made by the State Highway trucks. Notify Supt. Clayton Constance, at Lynn. Proceeds of sale go to county de fense agencies. No deductions for personal expenses. 2. Each public school will col lect and sell scrap; the proceeds to be used by the school for its own purposes. Persons with trucks and wagons can perform a valu able service by assisting in trans portation. 3. Persons having heavy mater ials, mill machinery, etc., to be scrapped will notify Mr. Bacon, who will send dealers to arrange for payment and removal. 4. As a patriotic duty, the fol lowing stores will pay cash for scrap in any quantity: Story’s store, Lynn. Blanton’s store, Columbus. Walker’s store, Mill Spring. SL L. Feagan’s store, Green Creek. McGinnis’ store, Melvin Hill. McGuinn’s store, Cooper’s Gap. Herbert Butler, Tryon. Hitt’s Garage at Saluda will buy any quantity of scrap for cash.
